Born in 1952, Mr. Wu Zhenfang has nearly 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry and has rich grassroots in practice and management. He once served as Deputy General Manager of CNOOC Nanhai West Corporation and as a Director of China Ocean Offshore Oilfields Services (Hong Kong) Ltd. From 1997 to 2003, he served as General Manager of China BlueChemical Limited. In April 2003, he was appointed as Assistant President of CNOOC. In June 2003, he became the Chairman of China BlueChemical Limited and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNOOC Gas & Power Group. Since September 2004, he has been a Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member of CNOOC.
