Born in 1953, Mr. Meng Liming graduated from Tianjin Foreign Studies University. Mr. Meng joined CNOOC in 1982. From 1985 to 1996, he served as a Representative in Tokyo, a Manager and Vice Director of the External Affairs Department and Chief Representative in Tokyo. From 1997 to 1999, he was Deputy General Manager of the China Offshore Sales Company. From October 1999 to February 2009, Mr. Meng served as Director of the Marketing Department of CNOOC Limited, General Manager of China Offshore Oil & Gas Development & Utilization Company, was a Director and President of CNOOC Oil Base Group Limited, and an Executive Director and President of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited. In February 2009, Mr. Meng was appointed Chief Economist of CNOOC. He also serves as General Manager of CNOOC Refining & Marketing Group.
