Two achievements of CNOOC, the "Research and Application of Enhanced Logging Imaging System (ELIS)" and "Safe Rapid Drilling Technology in Complex Structures in Western South China Sea Area", were awarded the second prizes of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress.

CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited finalized an agreement with Macquarie Bank Ltd. on a 400kt/a CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) project for the utilization of afterheat from calcinated coke.

A receiving ceremony was held at Guangdong Dapeng Terminal to celebrate the arrival of the first LNG cargo of 210,000m3 from Qatargas.

CNOOC's service stations in Shanghai began to sell GB-IV gasoline and diesel, the products of Huizhou Refinery Project.

The completion ceremony for Li-ion power battery plant extension of Tianjin Lishen Battery Co., Ltd. (Tianjin Lishen), a subsidiary of CNOOC, was held in Binhai High-tech Industrial Park.

Qatargas Operating Co., Ltd. (Qatargas) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CNOOC for long-term supplies of LNG to CNOOC. In the future, the total amount of LNG supplied by Qatargas to CNOOC is expected to increase from 2 million tons per year to 7 million tons per year for a 25-year period.
